For the '65-'67 "long shaft" steering boxes, the only way to remove the assembly in one piece is to lift the engine up and remove the driver side engine mount (and possibly the exhaust manifold/header). We chose to simply cut the steering box's shaft off with a cut-off wheel to expedite things. View Related Article
