To demonstrate the whole offset thing to ourselves, we took one of the Flashback's 18x8 front rims/tires and tried to mount it on another CDC '67 having stock-style suspension. The high degree of positive offset on this rim caused two major issues: first, the inside edge of the wheel and tire was so far inboard that it couldn't begin to clear the upper ball joint area.
