Mercury Cougar LED Taillight Upgrade - Light Brite



Led Die Cast
Separate the die-cast chrome trim, lens, and housing as shown.		 Led Tail Light 2
The taillight housing is a die-cast assembly consisting of three reflector pockets. This assembly is quite pitted and appears to have been painted silver. If your taillight housing is badly pitted, we suggest having it media blasted, then repaint or powdercoat it in white or silver for improved reflection.		 Led Moduels
Each of the Mustang Project LED modules is easy to install. Gently push in and turn, taking care not to damage the module. Make sure the socket is clean and corrosion-free, which will make installation easier and improve your odds of proper contact.
Led Bulbs
Cougar taillight assemblies have three 1157 bulbs plus a 1003 license lamp bulb. Remove the 1157 lamps, and we suggest installing new 1003 license lamps as long as you're in there.		 Led Boards
These little guys cast quite the beam of light compared to a lot of LED taillight kits out there. The only adjustment you need to make here is LED-board (printed circuit board) positioning.		 Led Adjusting
This is how you adjust the LED board. Loosen the board with a 11/44-inch socket and turn the board as desired. Because the LEDs are in a "D" shape, you may have a personal preference on position.
