This is a typical Modular V-8 oil pump, larger and considerably flatter than what we're used to. It has a wider, yet narrower, gerotor package inside. The DOHC has a wider gerotor package than the SOHC. This guy slips over the crankshaft, which drives the pump just ahead of the No.1 main bearing cap. Note the lightweight aluminum design with powdered metal gears inside.
