I did this before the article was done.  1965 Mustang Fastback.  331 cid.  Procomp Aluminum heads with 195cc Intakes.  Ford B-303 cam.  An original Shelby intake totaly redone by Extrude Hone ($830).  Dual 390 cfm Holleys.  It took some doing to get it jetted right but boy does this setup work.  I credit most of my success to the excellant port job done to the intake manifold by extrude hone.  In addition, the Pro-Comp aluminum heads make way more power then the GT heads.  And get this, consistant 25 mpg at 80 mph on three different Hot Rod Magazine Power tours.  My estimation is the same as this article's, I believe the dual quad set-up is good for about 25 hp over a single four barrel.
