2 This close up helps illustrate the Trans Am intake's construction. Whereas the Blue Thunder/original Ford intake splits it's upper and lower plenums left and right (meaning for example that the left side of one carb feeds the upper plenum, the right side feeds the lower), you can see here how the Trans-Am intake is oriented diagonally so that the right primary and left secondary are on the same plane, and vice versa. It's worth noting that this latter design philosophy is used on the currently available 351W and 429/460 dual quad intakes. View Related Article
