8 Many upgrades we’re discussing can be added to a completed car, but sometimes you’ve got to tear into your car to make these safety upgrades work. Case in point is the three-point seatbelt upper mounting point. Ford didn’t add them until mid-1968 (shoulder belts became a separate option). During the paint and body phase of your project, it’s easy to weld in a support and mounting nut to make the belts a bolt-in affair when you’re ready to tackle your interior. With a little planning we bet you could fabricate rear three-point belts as well. View Related Article
