A relay was used to control the solenoid and mounted on the inner fender panel. Essentially, John wired the system so that when the A/C compressor clutch gets power it also feeds the relay, which takes power from a keyed hot circuit and powers the solenoid. The solenoid is adjustable to ensure you have just enough idle increase to prevent stalling but not have too much rpm at idle. View Related Article
