20. As of this writing, there is only one company that we know of that makes a full-length exhaust header for the Coyote swap in an early Mustang, and that is The Original Doug’s Headers. The offering is specifically designed for the new Ford Coyote 5.0 motor swaps in ’64-’73 Mustangs, ’60-’65 Falcons, ’66-’67 Fairlanes, and ’67-’68 Cougars, and Doug’s Headers designed them around front IFS conversions kits from TCI or similar designs. They also fit a six-speed manual transmission or Mustang’s six-speed select shift automatic. The headers feature 3⁄8-inch-thick flanges, and 1-inch primaries tubes dumping into stainless V-band-equipped, 3-inch collectors. They come standard with a polished high luster heat- and corrosion-resistant metallic ceramic coating, and you’ll find reducers, 1,100-degree-rated gaskets, oxygen sensor extensions, and premium installation hardware in the box as well. Part D6651 retails for $685.95 through Summit Racing Equipment.
