If you've been following our Colt of Personality project over the last year, you know that we've been tackling major bodywork and installing the front suspension components over that period, in addition to a brief interior makeover. With this month's installment, we take a look at March Performance's serpentine pulley setup for the 5.0L Coyote engine, the powerplant that will soon take up residence between C.O.P.'s fenders.
The Coyote is fast becoming one of the more popular swaps for vintage Fords, delivering exceptional horsepower and torque in a relatively lightweight and obviously very tractable package. As the newer Mustang that the engine came out of utilizes electric-assist steering, a solution for vintage cars with traditional power steering was in order. March Performance does offer its Coyote serpentine system for applications that may or may not include power steering and/or air conditioning.
With billet aluminum pulleys protected by a shiny hard-coat finish, the March system is sure to dress up the plastic and raw aluminum finish of the Coyote 5.0L, and provide good looks for years to come. Check out the photos to see how easy the system is to install-we're going to have to find a way to make the rest of the engine look as good.
