8 Using a simple adapter plate, we bolted the 5.0L Paxton Novi 2000 Renegade kit to the 351C cylinder head. The adapter plate not only allowed us to bolt on the kit, but also offset the kit to line up the blower and crank pulleys—a little measuring goes a long way. The Cleveland was run with a 6-inch, six-rib, 5.0L crank pulley. The six-rib serpentine setup was deemed adequate for our low-boost needs, though the power was definitely getting near eight-rib territory.
