To illustrate just how much potential was lurking inside an original Boss 302, we built a replica using every stock component. We utilized a forged-steel crank from Pro Comp, and substituted a 5.0L block for the original Boss block, but that had no effect on power. In stock trim (with headers), the Boss 302 produced 373 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque-pretty good since they were rated by Ford at 290 hp and 290 lb-ft of torque. View Related Article
