Rocker arms get a static adjustment first. Tighten the rocker arm until the roller tip just touches the valve stem. Then, turn the adjustment one-half turn. This should be permanent. If you hear rocker arm noise when the engine is fired, find the offending rocker arm and tighten until quiet. Do not overtighten. View Related Article
