Steve set the modified crank in place, installed the main caps, and torqued the mains. Torque the Number 3 main cap first, then Number 4, Number 2, Number 1, and finally Number 5. Then go back and recheck your work. If you’re building a late-model 302 block, install the one-piece rear main seal at this time.
