The mechanical lifter FE blocks are void of lifter galley oil passages designed to feed hydraulic lifters. Had this block been drilled for hydraulic lifters, there would be two oil galley plugs at 11 and 1 o’clock above the cam plug (arrows). Hydraulic lifters cannot be used in this block.
