All Ford castings, including FE blocks, have a casting date code like this one. Look for FE casting date codes just below the oil filter mount on the left-hand side of the block (arrow). This date code is “7C29” which indicates (from left to right) 1967, March, 29—a casting date of March 29, 1967. View Related Article
