5 With the driveshaft out, check the condition of the rear axle's pinion yoke. Our arrows point to the U-joint locator tabs which, as the name suggests, will center the new U-joint and keep it laterally located within the yoke. These tabs also play a role in measuring for proper U-joint size when ordering your new driveshaft.
