The McLeod Soft-Lok assembly is the most widely used McLeod clutch assembly for drag racers. While not a street-type of clutch kit, the Soft-Lok features a low static pressure, resulting in light pedal effort with soft clutch engagement. McLeod rates this clutch to 1,200 hp. An adjustable spring pressure allows you to “dial in” the clutch for your vehicle and engine, along with the ability to add counterweights to increase the holding power at higher rpm. The Borg and Beck/Long pressure plate is a McLeod exclusive that integrates the heavy-duty hat of the original Borg and Beck with a Ford long-style finger for extremely quick ratios.
