Here's a MIG welding job in progress. It welds light gauge material or thick plates and allows better control on thin metals than stick welding. It can be used to weld most common metals. Because the electrode is a piece of wire continuously feed to the weld off of a wire spool there is no need to replace the electrode periodically and you can weld at higher speeds.
