Here are the new Mr. Bodykit... Here are the new Mr. Bodykit LED taillights in all their glory with the backup lights on. Like the factory housing, the back-up light has a clear lens. Unlike the factory housing the two outboard sections also have a reflective silver bottom. Turning our attention to the... Turning our attention to the front end, the radiator cover is removed along with the grille, which is retained by plastic fasteners. We'll need to remove the turn signal housings, so we're contemplating how much will have to be undone in order to gain access to those areas. Remove the top headlight retaining... Remove the top headlight retaining bolts next. It looks like it's going to be a little tough to access those headlight housing bolts on the bottom, especially on the passenger side with the windshield washer reservoir in the way. In the end we raised the car... In the end we raised the car up about eight inches and set the car safely on jackstands so we could slide underneath the front end. This photo was taken lying on our back pointing straight upward. It shows the ratchet with 10mm socket positioned on the correct headlight fastener and ready to go. We also had to remove three... We also had to remove three screws and two nuts in order to loosen the front bumper cover enough to gain access behind the wheelhouse panel. This is as far apart as we had to go and here the OE headlight housing is finally freed from the car. All that is required to remove... All that is required to remove the side marker light housing is the compressing of two retaining pins at the back end of the housing. Holding the wheel house aside it's easy to access the housing and remove the marker light via the wheelwell. With the housing removed,... With the housing removed, we replaced the OE bulbs with the "Stealth Bulbs" we got with the kit. They're silver on the outside but glow amber when lit. Here, the new side marker housing is installed into the bumper opening. Once in place be sure the barbs on the mounting pins hook onto the housing or vibration will cause it to come loose. Once in place, install the bulb sockets back in the housing. We prepared some wire extensions... We prepared some wire extensions for the halo rings and the turn signal LED stack to make the connections easier. The halo ring wire extensions were simply Scotch Locked onto the wires going to the side marker light and the LEDs were attached to the turn signal bulb leads. Once these connections were accomplished, the headlights themselves were connected to the harness using the factory plug and here the housing is installed into the car. With the installation complete... With the installation complete we'd like to show the lamp functions in the various modes. Here, the parking lights are on, giving the halo ring its luminescent glow. When the turn signals are... When the turn signals are activated this vertical stack of white LED's flashes in conjunction with the other turn signal fixtures on the car. Here is the lamp showing the... Here is the lamp showing the low beams lit with the halo ring clearly visible. This shot of the completed... This shot of the completed installation shows the car with high beams on. Both the low and high beam headlights work great at night. Notice also the "Stealth Bulb" amber lamps residing in their new black and clear housings. Overall we'd say the visual effect is intriguing and it certainly adds an exotic flair to the aura of our Mustang GT convertible.
