The window-lift mechanism on the Fox-body is really very simple: The glass attaches to a metal bracket assembly that rides on the vertical tube, and is lifted by the scissor lift. Common practice for fixing sloppy windows is to replace the nylon bushing the bracket rides the tube with. However, we discovered the washers that hold the glass to the bracket were also worn. That fix was easier, so we opted to replace those, rather than remove the entire window-lift mechanism-that way we didn't have to readjust it. View Related Article
