I was informed by another ebay member the following : Did I know this is 1973 ? or 1983 ? replacement distributor. 1963 distributors were all FoMoCo, not Motorcraft and are shaped completely different. They have a built in oiler that the later distributors don't have and their contours are sharper.I ended the auction early since I didn't want it to be to misrepresented. Thought I would share it here in case you haven't seen it plastered all over the web: The 2010 Mustang will feature an enhanced version of the familiar 3-Valve 4.6 liter V8 we have known. It does have a Cold-Air Intake now with a mild bump to 315hp - essentially the same motivation under the hood of the 2009 Bullitt. T There are some cool new options, packages and features to help wow you if the mild bump in horsepower didn’t. To help allow people to fine tune their Mustangs, but make production easier, Ford has created a number of packages that include a cluster of options. They are tailored to individual tastes and desires. For the performance minded there is the GT Track Package (67T) that retails for $1,445. This includes upgraded dual piston brake calipers, performance brake pads, a faster accelerating 3.73 rear axle, and a recalibrated stability control program that allows for more squirrel. Techies and gadget heads will want to order the Electronics Package (85X). For $2,700 you get the full boat voice activated NAV system that has a full in-dash screen, single DVD/CD/MP3 Player, DVD A/V capability and internal hard-disk. It has a 10GB jukebox for storing your MP3‘s and of course Ford’s new SYNC capability. In the package you also get dual zone climate control. When you consider all the stuff included, this is a must have package. Heated seats are found in the Comfort Package (53B) for $575. This includes warmers, 6-way power for the passenger seat, and a slick electronic mirror w/ compass. Of course there are some stand alone options like over the roof “Le Mans” stripes from the factory for $395,and HID headlights for $525. The Mustang will also be available for the first time with factory 19” wheels as an option. The GT Premium will come with a new 18” wheel as a starting point as well. One option, the security system for $995 seems a bit steep for hardware that is minimal at best. The optional-back up camera will be a cool gee-wiz option for those that have the factory NAV system already. It’s need is dubious however, but cool none the less. Some new features we have not covered before in the 2010 Mustang will include Ford’s new cap-less fueling system that has a racing style self sealing fuel receptacle. The tail-lamps will also for the first time feature LED filaments with a classic sequential lighting action. That is pretty cool! what do you guys think?

I have a new project I am working on. I have a 67 mustang that I am going to put a 5.0 and aod that I got off ebay out of an 89 mustang. I want to keep the serpentine belt setup. I am trying to decide the best way to proceed. as I understand it a late model reverse rotation water pump will not bolt up properly to an early model timing cover, is this correct? if so then I have two options I buy one of the serpentine conversions from march or zoops, or I use the late model timing cover and drill a hole for the dipstick. is this correct? if I drill a hole in the timing cover will one of those after market motorsport dipsticks work properly in it? or is there a serpentine waterpump that will fit on an early timing cover. I have the 89 timing cover so I would have to buy an early model timing cover so I think I would prefer to just drill the current timing cover but I am a bit reluctant to do this. can I get some suggestions from people who have done this conversion?

I have an 86 5.0 motor (converted to carb) and had a C4 tranny (and a nice 289 motor  ) that a friend trashed for me. I found a C6 (1990 AOD)and am fixing to attempt to bolt up (it's in route) to me). Looks like I'll need a different torque converter, some linkage and probably a bigger yoke for the drive shaft? Falcon64 helped me get it all straight for a C4 and now I'm back at the drawing board. Any suggestions/ideas greatly appreciated. Anyone know if the 157T, 50oz flywheel I just bought for the C4 will work on the C6? I doubt it but am hoping. I also bought a C4 blockplate to accomodate the starter variance. Will this work? Will the new C4 torque converter work? I hope so but doubt it. - Shaft size? Man, maybe one day I can actually ride in this car. Should my wiring harness work? I'm in a bit of a fix. And boy do I need a fix! I have an 86 EFI 5.0 but going carb with it. I read the distributor tech article on this site. What a great resource. Have to make gear change for this to work but it looks doable. Question: 68 FW is too light for 86 motor. Appears the 86 FW won't fit C4 tranny. The article doesn't reference a specific fix for this. Has anyone done this? I really need to know if the 157 tooth FW will fit the C4 housing? Also, I was confused a bit by the HB reference. Can I leave the 86 HB on the motor? My tranny is a good ways from me so I can't check it out for a good while yet. If not the FW won't fit the housing...Do I have to get a new tranny. I am really getting an education. Learning more than I wanted to know...for sure.

Lloyd Kaufman, President of Troma Studios, surprises his wife with a ‘69 Ford Mustang 3) http://www.autoblog.com/2008/10/24/ode-to-the-2005-2009-ford-mustang/ Autoblog tries to name ALL of the variants of 2005-2009 Mustangs. I'm looking forward to getting some good info on what parts will actually work on the car and finding help with any other issues I may have. Thanks and I hope to hear from you soon.

The block was also changed from a D4TE to a C6MEA and still have a strumming vibration as I rev the engine even in neutral or Park. The torque converter was replaced but not the flex plate. The engine with a different block and crank still has a vibration problem. I replaced the front pump bushing in the transmission and seal at the time of the swap. The torque converter was the only thing that showed excessive wear around where the bushing in the pump is. The bushing had some scoring. The front drive pulley off the original engine was used because of the belt drives. There is a noticeable difference in the 68 truck damper and the original pulley/damper however it doesn't appear that I can interchange the two without doing some involved pulley changes. Has anyone a solution or suggestion? Thanks in advance jim

There is a phillips head screw at the front that fastens this to the front fire wall/door pillar area,is it common for this to have a locking device on the back(on the inside of the guard) as i can move this even with a impact driver and a BIG HAMMER. I will attach a picture of my car soon.
