Isn’t technology just grand? It is especially when it’s aimed at hot rods and classic cars. A perfect example of technology that makes our lives easier and better is when it comes to fuel injection. In previous decades, installing electronic fuel injection was a nightmare of gathering parts, sensors, various control systems, and a den-of-snakes situation when it came to wiring. And then you had to figure out how to adapt a high-pressure fuel system to the ‘60s car to feed the fuel injection. Thankfully, the afore-mentioned technology that we have today makes replacing a carburetor with electronic fuel injection a piece of cake, and one of the easiest ways we’ve ever tried is with an FiTech system.

The Classic Performance Parts Week To Wicked 1966 Mustang received one of FiTech’s Go EFI 4 600 HP throttle body systems to feed its 507hp Ford crate motor, and installation was barely more work than bolting on and tuning a carburetor. FiTech’s kit features four injectors, a built-in computer, and all the sensors and wiring you’ll need to install it. Watch this video as FiTech’s Jason Oberhelman tells Mustang Monthly’s Mark Houlahan all about the company’s kit, as well as their killer drop-in fuel system to feed it the gas.
