Our 2015 ARP/STREET RODDER Road Tour car is well on its way toward completion. That's good news because it's due for its unveiling on Saturday, June 6, at the NHRA Motorsports Museum in Pomona. From there it's off for a season of cross-country cruising. See the schedule and register for the 2015 ARP/STREET RODDER Road Tour HERE.

We've been photographing the buildup on the 1961 Ford Galaxie Sunliner since it first showed up at the Roadster Shop for a complete new frame and suspension. You can read Ron Ceridono's tech stories on the chassis at HERE and HERE.

Since January, the Sunliner has been at Hollywood Hot Rods, where it is being treated to some impressive custom bodywork. One of the first custom treatments done to the Sunliner by Hollywood Hot Rods was a complete reshaping of the hood. The full-length factory hood was sliced a few inches back to shorten it. The remaining front portion was blended into the front fenders. As a result, the nose of the STREET RODDER Road Tour car now has some cool sports car styling. Hollywood Hot Rods used this same technique on the 1963 Comet they built a few years ago. Be sure to check out the feature on that car HERE.

We've been at Hollywood Hot Rods following the progress on the Sunliner and got these photos of the custom fabrication to the hood. Stay tuned because there's a lot more where this came from. In the weeks to come, we'll have more tech photos, including modifications to the grille, headlights, inner fenders, convertible top, engine and transmission, interior, and tons more. Come back soon.
