Pennzoil’s new Platinum and Ultra Platinum with PurePlus Technology are the first oils formulated from natural gas. PurePlus Technology is a patented, revolutionary process that converts pure natural gas into high-quality, full-synthetic base oil, according to Pennzoil. Pennzoil also states that the oil is crystal clear and contains fewer of the impurities found in crude oil, which is the traditional base for many other conventional and synthetic engine oils. It is designed to keep pistons cleaner, deliver improved fuel economy, protect against horsepower loss, provide unsurpassed wear protection, and deliver excellent performance in extreme temperatures.
Always improving using the latest technology, Strange Engineering’s new aluminum coilover shocks makes suspension tuning easy with a conveniently located adjuster knob at the bottom of the shock body. The knob allows you to quickly and easily adjust the shock to work in concert with track conditions. This new design is available in both single- and double-adjustable configurations, and they can also be customized to specific lengths, strokes, and valving by Strange Engineering to suit your particular needs. Strange’s S1413 spanner wrench makes spring adjustments as quick and easy as shock adjustments.

PA Performance shouldn’t be a new name to any of you reading this magazine. PA is famous for its Mustang electrical components, like alternators, starters, and electrical wiring. The company has always had a few custom colors available, but it has added a few candy colors to the lineup, such as red, blue, and black. The blue, seen here, is really close to True Blue, or even Sonic Blue, but all three new colors are available on any Mustang alternator.
We’ve already heard of a 2.0L EcoBoost swap into an SVO, but if anyone out there wants to do a 3.5L EcoBoost swap into a Mustang, Performance Automatic can help make that happen with this new Street Smart Package. The 3.5L EcoBoost V-6 packs twin turbochargers and 365 hp from the factory—just imagine what it will do with a tune and free-flowing exhaust. Performance Automatic has its 4R70W Super Streeter transmission with a custom bellhousing to mate to the 3.5L EcoBoost engine, along with its Smart Shift transmission controller, wiring harness, torque converter, and all the necessary components and hardware needed to make this swap a reality.
We can never have too many rear axle component options for our Mustangs. Recently we heard about USA Standard Gear’s offerings, available at Summit Racing. USA Standard has 28- and 31-spline axles for ’79-’93 Mustang 8.8-inch rears. They are made from durable steel for superior strength and performance, and use press-in wheel studs. USA Standard has differentials and gear sets, too.
If you need help bringing your Fox Mustang’s turbo to life, check out Stainless Works’ ’79-’93 Mustang small-block turbo header kit. Stainless Works’ turbo headers feature a 3⁄8-inch-thick flange with 17⁄8-inch primaries and 3-inch slip-fit collectors. The kit uses 3-inch V-band flanges and clamps are provided and welded on for the header-to-crossover connections; is Tig-welded and back-purged for maximum performance; and includes the headers, a crossover tube, a turbo mounting bracket, aluminum motor plate, and a downpipe.
If your ’94 Cobra is mostly stock, Aeromotive’s new A3000 fuel pump isn’t for you. However, if you have a hungry beast of a Mustang, the A3000 is up to the task. The pump made its debut at the 2014 NHRA Gatornationals in several Pro Stock cars, fueling Allen Johnson to victory. Obviously capable of providing a bucketload of fuel, it’s designed to provide a plethora of mounting provisions, enhanced performance, and better pressure control than any fuel pump in its class.
Get the upper hand on handling, axle rotation, and pinion-angle adjustability with BMR Suspension’s new adjustable upper control arm for ’11-’14 Mustangs. BMR’s upper control arm is made from 1.625-inch-DOM tubing, and uses a 11⁄8-inch CNC-machined adjuster. The control arm uses a 1-inch-diameter spherical bearing to keep deflection under load at bay, while retaining bind-free suspension articulation. Also, the control arm is designed to thwart wheelhop, improve handling consistency, and increase your Mustang’s braking ability during aggressive driving conditions.
No, we didn’t misspell Bullitt. These are Prothane’s Bullet engine mounts for ’05-’10 Mustang V-6 and 4.6L GTs. These mounts are machined Prothane inserts featuring a polyurethane compound sandwiched between stylish, fully-machined, T6 billet aluminum brackets. The mounts are engineered to absorb shock and vibration, and be impervious to oil and grease.
Due to California’s stringent emissions laws, many supercharger kits that many of us enjoy are not legal to install in the Golden State. Roush Performance is happy to pass along the word that its Phase 1 supercharger kit for ’11-’14 Mustang GTs is CARB-legal, with its own executive order number as proof. The Phase 1 supercharger kit is said to produce 575 horsepower at the flywheel, and includes a Roush R2300 2.3L TVS supercharger, high-flow 47-lb/hr fuel injectors, a high-effieciency intercooler system, and all the required hardware, wiring, brackets, and the like.
It’s not often you can use the words horsepower and savings in the same sentence. However, these PRW Sportsman roller-tip rocker arms come with a $5 pre-paid gift card. These arms are made from 4340 chrome-moly, which is designed to reduce flex and provide more accurate valve motion, as well as extend service life. The roller tip reduces friction in the valvetrain and can help free up to 15 additional horsepower. These rockers feature heat-treated pivot balls and PRW’s Rockerloc poly locks.
