This Weekend: ShelbyFest
Central Missouri becomes Shelby Country this weekend as ShelbyFest invades the small town of Hermann, about 90 minutes west of St. Louis.
Created in 2007 by Kyle Caraway as a simple gathering for late-model Shelby owners, the event has grown to include all Shelbys, Mustangs, and Fords. Once held at Hermann Ford, the event now incorporates several blocks of downtown Hermann.
It’s not your typical Shelby meet. Hermann is a small German village on the banks of the Missouri River. Located in the heart of Missouri’s wine country, the town boasts a number of wineries, plus pubs, antique shops, and bed & breakfast accommodations.
This year’s ShelbyFest includes a Thursday golf outing and evening welcome reception at the Wine Valley Inn; Friday afternoon cruise and evening Kick-Off Party; and Saturday show, evening banquet, and late-night Pub Crawl to benefit charity.
