Royal Purple, premium synthetic lubricant manufacturer, has announced the addition of separate car and truck classes for the third-annual Show It Off at SEMA contest. Starting on August 1st for truck owners and August 15 for car owners, fans can enter for a chance to have their very own car or truck displayed at the SEMA show in Las Vegas.

The truck portion will be held on the Royal Purple Inc. Facebook Fan Page with entries accepted August 1-8. Five finalists will be chosen by Royal Purple and have the opportunity to submit additional photos as well as a detailed spec sheet for the judges to review. After that the editors of several leading truck publications will pick the winning truck, which will be revealed on the Facebook Fan Page on August 26th.

The car portion of the contest will also be hosted by the RP Facebook Fan Page, and will accept entries from August 15 – 22. Similar to the truck class, five car finalists will be chosen by Royal Purple and they will also be able to submit additional photos and a detailed spec sheet to be reviewed by the judges. The judges will include last year’s contest winner, Todd Foust (owner of 1695 Ford Mustang) and Dennis Rostenbach (1970 Plymouth Road Runner). The winner will be announced by Royal Purple on September 6th on the Royal Purple Facebook Fan Page.

"Royal Purple has an incredibly diverse customer base that includes enthusiasts of just about every type of vehicle imaginable,” said Royal Purple Communications Specialist Marlena Solomon. “By adding this new truck class, it enables thousands more enthusiasts to be a part of our most successful contest."

The opportunity to visit SEMA and have your car displayed for thousands is a chance of a lifetime considering it is the world’s premier automotive specialty products trade show. The show is one of the biggest in the automotive industry with the newest and hottest products, and is not open to the general public.
