Mustang Club of America (MCA) Celebrating 50th Birthday of Ford Mustang in Charl
In April 2014 our favorite pony car will reach its 50th birthday! Start making plans now because the Mustang Club of America (MCA) is planning to host twin celebrations during the week of April 16-20 at two of the nation’s most prominent racetracks, Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina and Las Vegas Speedway in Nevada. Make sure to attend the festivities at the track closest to you!
A press conference was held at Charlotte Motor Speedway by MCA to announce details for the east coast celebration in Charlotte. MCA President Steve Prewitt and Chairman of the Mustang 50th Birthday Celebration, Ron Bramlett, were there to discuss the event details.
"The Mustang Club of America is a worldwide organization and is proud to host the upcoming Mustang 50th Birthday Celebration at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina,” said Steve Prewitt, President of the Mustang Club of America.
Starting off right, Pony Drives from nine different cities within the US will converge in Norman, Oklahoma to kick-off the festivities! About 1,000 Mustangs are expected to descend upon Concord during the afternoon of April 16th. On top of that, between 6,000 and 7,000 Mustangs are expected to be displayed inside and outside of Charlotte Motor Speedway. Vendors of all kinds will be onsite for all of your Mustang needs.
Mustang 50th Birthday Celebration Chairman Ron Bramlett stated, “The Mustang 50th Birthday Celebration will be a gathering of enthusiasts from all over the world coming together to celebrate 50 years of Mustang’s continuous production."
Being held at two different tracks, it only makes sense for open track activities to take place at both locations. “Evening with Ford” banquets are scheduled for both venues along with other activities including dinners and tours which are being finalized.
Registration for Charlotte is open and forms are available here! Visit www.Mustang50thBirthdayCelebration.com.
