Big Brakes

Wilwood Engineering has released two new Big Brake upgrade kits for '65-'67 Mustangs with the V-8 disc/drum spindle or the '68-'69 V-8 drum spindle (to augment Wilwood's current Big Brake kits for the disc spindle). Offering simple bolt-on installation to OE brake spindles and delivering big brake stopping power for street, track, or show, the kits include forged Superlite 6 calipers in gloss black or red (with Quick-Silver calipers available by special order), 12.88- or 14-inch drilled and slotted rotors with heat resistant E-coat finish, and BP-10 compound Smart Pads. Brackets, premium grade hardware, and alignment shims are also supplied. For more information, contact Wilwood Engineering at 805/388-1188 or visit its website at www.wilwood.com

Designed to work with independent front suspension conversion kits (TCI or similar) and six-speed manual or automatic transmissions, the headers feature 3⁄8-inch-thick flanges, 1¾-inch tubes, and 3-inch collectors with Stainless V band clamps. 4x8 Door Speakers

RetroSound's RetroMod single-voice R48 Series speakers are the perfect solution for factory 4x8-inch door speaker replacement in '65-'68 Mustangs. Featuring three-way design and Santoprene surrounds, the R48 Series speakers provide audiophile quality sound that is superior to other 4x8-inch speakers. Neodymium magnets are also used for enhanced power handling and slim mounting depth. The inside of the magnet is “dip cut” for extended travel by the pole piece for better bass response. Ringbrothers Wheels

Mike and Jim Ring have pushed the envelope of Mustang design with a string of award-winning custom builds. They have now applied their same design philosophy to the new Ringbrothers wheel line from HRE Wheels, which debuted on their Mustang "Switchback" at the 2012 SEMA show. Initially two designs are available - the RBI with HRE's Monobloc technology and the lightweight, three-piece RB2. The wheels are available in 18-,19-,20-,and 21-inch diameters with widths ranging from 8-13 inches. Custom bolt patterns are available, as are optional centerblock hubs. Each wheel is built-to-order with infinite fitment, color and finish options. For more information visit www.ringbrothers.com or any authorized HRE dealer.

Console Light Contact

It's getting to the point where there aren't many '65-'66 Mustang parts left to reproduce, yet National Part Depot keeps tackling the few remaining. Case in point is NPD's new reproduction of the '65-'66 Mustang's console glove box light contact, a small strip of metal that turns on the courtesy light inside the console storage compartment when the door is flipped open. Made from copper and priced at just $9.95, it's an exact repro of the original—and will allow owners of non-A/C consoles to light up their storage compartments just like originals. For more information, contact your nearest NPD location: Florida, 800/874-7595; Michigan, 800/521-6104; North Carolina, 800/368-6451; California, 800/235-3445.
