In Mustang Monthly, we've always shown our readers how to do it themselves. However, not everyone wants to do everything nor do they know how. That's when you need to place your Mustang in the hands of a professional.

Trouble is, finding shops that specialize in vintage Mustangs can be a daunting task. In fact, we receive frequent e-mails and letters from Mustang owners in search of a shop in their area. So several months ago, we put out a call for shops that specialize in '65-'73 Mustang restoration, modification, service, and repair. The guide here includes the shops that responded, plus we've added facilities that we've become familiar with over the years.

Inclusion in this guide is not necessarily an endorsement. Before handing your Mustang over to a shop, do your homework and be thorough in your research. Talk with other Mustang owners who have done business with the shop.

We've also included a listing of companies that specialize in specific areas, such as carburetor rebuilding, instrument gauge restoration, etc.

Obviously, we weren't able to get the word about this listing to all shops that specialize in vintage Mustangs. However, we plan to update the listing on a regular basis. So if you own a shop, or know about a reputable shop in your area, let us know and we'll include it in the next listing.
