Roush Performance describes its ’14 Roush Mustangs as “More power, more options, more performance.”

Each of the four models – RS V6, Stage 1, Stage 2, and Stage 3 – begin life as a ’14 Mustang before their transformation at the Roush Performance Speed Shop in Plymouth, Michigan.

Returning for ’14 is the Roush RS V6, where practicality meets performance. Powered by the Mustang’s base 305hp powertrain with 31 miles-per-gallon fuel economy, the V6 Roush packs a more affordable punch with upgrades like lowering springs, 18-inch aluminum wheels, and a Roush aero body kit.

On the V8 side, the Roush offerings start with the Stage 1, which adds visual pizzazz with the Roush-designed R6 aero body package that includes high-flow upper grille, lower grille eliminator, and corner fascia pockets with driving lamps and chin splitter, three-piece rear spoiler, and aero rear valance with diffusers.

Building on the RS1, the Stage 2 upgrades the suspension with race-inspired components like a larger, stiffer front stabilizer bar, increased spring rates, twin-tube struts and shocks with unique valving, Roush-designed anti-wheel hop kit, and 18x10-inch aluminum wheels with Roush/Cooper RS3 high-performance tires.

As always, the Stage 3 leads the Roush Mustang pack. Building on the styling of the Stage 1 and handling of the Stage 2, the RS3 force-feeds the 5.0L Coyote engine with a R2300 Roushcharger featuring Eaton’s Twin Vortices Series technology for 575 horsepower.

For even more performance, Roush has teamed with Ford Racing to offer their “Aluminator” forged engine as an upgrade option for owners who want to play with even more power. It beefs up the 5.0L for the Phase 2 (625hp) and Phase 3 (675hp) packages available through the Roush Performance catalog.

New for ’14 is the addition of Magnum Grey, Mat It Mango, Launch It Lemon, Marina Blue, and Punch It Purple to the Stage 3 graphic color lineup. Other options include a rear-seat delete with X-brace, dual-chamber off-road exhaust, and RS3 hood scoop for the RS1 and RS2.

All of the ’14 Roush “Stage” Mustangs are available in both coupe and convertible body styles with either manual or automatic transmission.
