EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (November 6, 2012) - Doug Evans, Executive Vice President, Performance Automotive Group for Source Interlink Media, LLC has been selected to receive the Mentor of the Year Award for 2012 by the SEMA Businesswomen's Network (SBN). The award was announced at this year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

According to SBN, the Mentor of the Year Award acknowledges and honors an individual for their wisdom, encouragement and willingness to help others along as a foundation for growth within and for the specialty-equipment industry.

Evans also was nominated for the SBN Athena Award, which honors a SEMA member or company for outstanding contributions and dedication to women in the specialty-equipment industry.

"I'm honored to have been nominated for two awards by the SEMA Businesswomen's Network and for being chosen as the Mentor of Year. Advocating for women in the automotive industry is something I am dedicated to, so to be recognized by this group of businesswomen is particularly gratifying," Evans said.
