The action was brought to Los Angeles this past weekend during the Global Rallycross X Games. Toomas Heikkinen took home his fourth consecutive win – first in Global Rallycross history – in his Olsbergs Fiesta ST. Not only that, he grabbed his second straight X Games gold medal at Irwindale Speedway. Tanner Foust managed to sneak by a pileup of cars to grab second place with his Fiesta ST.

Heikkinen’s lead was followed by Tanner Foust in second with Sverre Isachsen (Subaru) taking the bronze. Heikkinen extended his points lead with 39 points over Tanner Foust with a total of 117 gained in six rounds, a GRC record. Also, Heikkinen is the first to gain two consecutive gold medal wins at L.A. X Games.

A debris-filled wreck trapped four out of ten drivers including Brian Deegan. Ken Block and his Hoonigan Racing Fiesta finished sixth place, running the last two laps on three tires and one wheel.

The next Global Rallycross race will be held at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Saturday, August 10. The race will be broadcast at 6:30 PM ET on ESPN2.
