Ford Racing Boss “Big Bore” Blocks Now Available
Bigger is better, right? When it comes down to performance and taking on the track, bigger is always better according to Ford Racing. The company now offers a BOSS small-block in a “Big Bore” version. These blocks were designed as a replacement for the Boss 302 and Boss 351. According to Ford Racing, this is the strongest and most superior Ford production block offered yet, cast from “diesel-grade iron” with Siamese bores as well as thick cylinder walls and decks.
The Big Bore versions of the Boss 302 and Boss 351 make it simple and economical to build up this “big” small-block. These Ford Racing Big Bore blocks have been machined an additional .125-inch during the initial block boring stage for the most precise bore location possible.
With an unfinished bore size of 4.120-inches, the Boss 302 Big Bore block is capable of supporting engine sizes up to 363 cubic-inches while the Ford Racing Boss 351 Big Bore blocks are able to support up to 460 cubic-inches.
These Ford Racing Big Bore blocks are available in 8.2, 9.2 and 9.5-inch deck heights. That gives a wide range of displacement possibilities for just about any small-block application. Ford Racing’s Boss block is a force to be reckoned with globally, having proven itself on the street and on the track.
All Boss blocks have been cast and machined to the highest industry standards in the United States. Go pick up your new Boss Big Bore Block.
