To celebrate 50 years of America's most iconic muscle car, Bill Ford introduced the 2015 Ford Mustang 50 Year Limited Edition to a large crowd at the 2014 New York auto show.

As Dave Pericak Mustang chief engineer stated, there will be only 1,964 of these special-edition Stangs based on the 2015 model. There are only four options. Stick or auto, and Kona Blue or Wimbledon White.

A White example of the 50 Year Limited Edition Mustang was shown in NY and we love the styling and design. Some unique cues include a prancing horse in the grille, and 50th Anniversary badging on the seats, faux gas cap and dash plaque, each of which carries Bill Ford's signature etched into the plaque.

Each of these models gets the Performance Package with unique front splitter and big 15-inch front Brembo brakes.

We love the 50th Anniversary Mustang as it represents everything enthusiasts would come to expect. The Mustang even gets special VIN coding, noted with an "R." The trim is fitting, as the bright trim blends well with body lines and overall shapes of the rear fascia and window openings. It also seems hunkered down and ready for action

Check back tomorrow for more special coverage of the 50th Anniversary Mustang and our event coverage from Charlotte and Las Vegas.
