Across the pond in Europe, the German Autobahn is the place to take any car at top speed without facing the consequences of Johnny Law. Such a place here in the United States only exists in our wildest dreams.

Testing a brand-new Shelby GT500 must be taxing, but someone has got to do it, right? The guys over at Autoblog.nl took the reins of this top dog Shelby, and with an intimidating growl of the exhaust, it was off to the speed limitless Autobahn to see exactly what this bad boy was capable of!

Watch the video where this Shelby was pushed to the limit and it reached speeds of an impressive 190 miles per hour on Germany’s super highway.

This 2013 Shelby GT500 comes equipped with a 5.8L V-8 engine capable of a staggering 662 horsepower and 631 lb-ft of torque. This insane Mustang demands attention from idle to wide-open throttle, and cars are quick to move out of the way with a slight flick of the exhaust.

The German Autobahn allows cars to stretch out those legs and gallop at full speed, and to some there’s no better way to get that adrenaline pumping. It’s no question that the almighty Shelby GT500 Ford Mustang is nothing short of impressive.
