If there’s one thing Mustang owners love to do it is personalize their Mustang with all manner of exterior bits to make their ride uniquely theirs. From the typical over body “Le Mans” stripes to custom rocker graphics and more you’ll see it all at major shows, which is a great place to come up with ideas for your project as you near the paint phase. That’s exactly what we did recently while walking the huge car show parking area at the Mustang 55th Anniversary show at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Mustang owners often will “keep it in the family” by cross pollinating different generations of paint colors/stripes/graphics on their Mustang. We’ve spotted late-model Mustangs with classic Mach 1 graphics and even classic Mustangs with late-model Mustang paint colors. These are just a couple of examples of course, but are still in the majority when it comes to exterior stripes/graphics. We do see some that think “outside the box” and design their own graphics package or utilize blackout paint or even a two-tone paint scheme. We saw all of this and more at the Mustang 55th and decided to photograph these paint/graphics to provide our audience with some ideas for their project. So check out the photo gallery below and if you see something you like share it with your painter or vinyl graphics person and then be sure to post a photo on our Facebook page!
