Revology Cars [www.revologycars.com] Ford-licensed reproduction Mustangs have been powered by Ford’s popular 5.0L “Coyote” DOHC V-8 since the company’s inception. Now, Revology’s latest models will feature the latest Gen 3 Coyote, as found in the 2018 and up Mustang GT. This new Gen 3 engine features both standard low-pressure port fuel injection as well as high-pressure direct injection and now makes 460 hp. One of the first Revology cars to receive the new Gen 3 is this 1966 Shelby G.T. 350 replica.

The Ford Performance Gen 3 Coyote 5.0L crate engine, M-6007-M50C, is the same engine we used in our 2018 Week to Wicked 1967 Mustang build project. It is a complete intake to oil pan engine and along with the control pack wiring/PCM it is ready for your project. Revology will deliver five Gen 3-powered cars by the end of March, 2019. “The Coyote engine is one of the best performance engines ever made,” says Tom Scarpello, CEO and founder of Revology Cars. “Prodigious power, amazing sound track, completely refined, and totally reliable. With 460 horsepower and 420 lb/ft of torque on tap, the Gen 3 takes it to a new level. For us, there was no question which engine to choose.”

The engineers at Revology Cars designed an updated EFI fuel system and air intake to fit the Gen 3 Coyote into its product line. A revised Revology Cars-specific PCM calibration is also loaded into the PCM. “The Gen 3 is an extremely sophisticated engine, but with the components we have designed it is remarkably simple to install in a vintage Mustang,” says Aaron Wright, Revology Cars’ Chief Engineer. “Very soon, we will be making all of these components available to the aftermarket.”

As seen in the photos here, the Gen 3 Coyote 5.0L V-8 packages nicely in the classic Mustang engine bay with little wasted space. Revology designs its own solutions for cooling, fluid handling, PCM mounting, wire harness retention, and more with little wasted space yet designed for easy maintenance, just like the current generation Mustang you’d find at your local Ford dealer. “A technician familiar with late-model Ford powertrains will find the Revology Mustang immediately familiar,” says Scarpello. “Even our wiring harness uses the same component color codes as the Ford harness.”
