Our annual MM&FF Pro-Dyno Battle at the Beach Dyno Challenge, which takes place during Mustang Week, was once again a huge success. We put together a broad range of participants with every combo ranging from a nitrous-gulping Coyote to a pushrod/Vortech combination to the latest Coyote-powered S550s with a variety of power adders. When the dyno dust settled it was the 1999 Mustang GT of Steve Shrader who came out victorious by making 1,020 horsepower at the wheels. Steve’s GT features a built Coyote with a Vortech V-7 YSi-Trim supercharger with a tickle of nitrous thrown in for good measure.

In addition to Steve Shrader, and in no particular order, the rest of the competition consisted of Brian Prince and his nitrous packing Coyote swap four-eye, Danny Rosenbaum’s stock blower 2011 Shelby GT500, Rick Marion’s Armageddon Turbo Systems motivated 2017 Mustang GT, Caleb Younts’ stock Eaton 2002 Saleen S281, Calvin Atwell’s Paxton-blown 2001 Bullitt, Michael Zwick’s Vortech supercharged Fox coupe, Jonnie Ream’s ProCharger equipped 2015 Mustang GT, Bobby Coffman’s stock blower 2010 Shelby GT500, and Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s 2018 RTR Mustang Formula Drift racer.

That’s right, if you missed this year’s dyno challenge, you missed out on your chance to see Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s Formula Drift racer on the Dyno. Vaughn, and the rest of the participants put on a great show, and we can’t wait for next years challenge. Until then, here’s a gallery from todays competitor; stay tuned for the full MM&FF Pro-Dyno Battle at the Beach Dyno Challenge recap.

If you want to be a part of the 2019 Battle at the Beach event, keep an eye peeled for announcements on Mustang360.com, including our Facebook pages for complete details on how to sign up and become a competitor.
