There’s no shortage of high horsepower Mustangs on dealer showroom floors these days, but if you’re looking for something a little unique with provenance/heritage, and a full bumper-to-bumper warranty it is incredibly hard to not consider the Roush Stage 3 Mustang.

Available for pre-order now at authorized Roush Performance dealers, the 2019 Roush Stage 3’s big news is the addition of the new Roush Performance TVS R2650 Phase 1 supercharger. The new supercharger system ups the power level from previous Roush editions by 40 for a new 710 horsepower rating (with 610 lb-ft of torque no less!). The Roush Performance TVS R2650 is based on the popular Eaton R2650 rotating assembly and is matched with a high-flow front inlet setup for efficiency.

Of course enjoying a supercharged 5.0L Coyote means having the appropriate suspension and braking to keep all that horsepower under control To that end Roush’s new Stage 3 features single-adjustable coilover shocks/struts, 20-inch Roush aluminum wheels and sticky P275/35R20 Continental ExtremeContact UHP tires. On the option list you can tick the box for three-way adjustable coilovers if you’re looking for the best on-track performance where you’ll be able to achieve a 1.07g on the skid-pad right off the dealer lot!

“At Roush we constantly strive to produce the highest quality and most innovative performance products for our customers,” said Jack Roush Jr. “When developing the 2019 Stage 3, we let our imaginations run wild to create a car that delivers track-ready performance, but can still be driven and enjoyed on the road.”

Adding to the performance is the new Roush R8 aero package, featuring a body kit that utilizes a high-flow upper grille, widened lower grille, a chin spoiler, and body side scoops. Roush Stage 3 graphics, available in several colors and patterns, along with a Roush Stage 3 grille badge rounds out the exterior body updates.

Inside, the Stage 3 receives Roush’s complete Sport Interior Package. Optional upgrades include Recaro seats, custom six-speed shifter ball, billet Roush-engraved pedals, and the infamous Roush trunk-mounted tool kit. For those looking to add even more technology, the Roush Stage 3 Mustang can also be equipped with the optional Roush Active Exhaust System, which allows the driver to control exhaust volume and tone through their smart phone or tablet, ensuring your Roush can be heard (or not heard as the case may be) at the appropriate times.

The 2019 Roush Stage 3 Mustang package starts at $22,925 (base vehicle cost not included obviously) and comes with a 3-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and a 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty. For more information on the 2019 Roush Stage 3 visit www.roushperformance.com.
