Another Mustang Week event we always look forward to is our Pro-Dyno MM&FF Battle at the Beach Dyno Shootout. In a nutshell, the Battle at the Beach is a competition to see who can make the most horsepower. After selecting 10-12 cars to compete, we let the cars and Pro-Dyno’s portable Dynojet do the rest of the work.

At the same time, though, the Battle at the Beach isn’t all about making the most horsepower. It’s also about showing different combinations that represent the gamut of Mustang powerplants. For this year’s Pro-Dyno MM&FF Battle at the Beach, we have a pushrod combination, a couple Two-Valve Mustangs, a few Shelbys, the latest Coyote combinations, and one surprise guest we’ll tell you about as the event nears.

The biggest change for this year’s Pro-Dyno MM&FF Battle at the Beach is that it takes place Wednesday September 5, 2018, at Myrtle Beach Speedway. We’ll start with our photography around 7:30am, and the actual competition will start at 9am. So remember, the Battle at the Beach takes place Wednesday the 5 at Myrtle Beach Speedway.

The Battle at the Beach will take place just outside the gate, while inside the speedway the Stifflers Fun Runs and Gateway Classic Autocross will be going strong. The Stifflers Fun Runs and Gateway Classic Autocross go from 9am to 5pm, and Vaughn Gittin Jr. will be scaring people and putting smiles on their faces during his exhibition runs around the speedway. However, the fun isn’t over at 5pm because the svtperformance.com Burnout Contest starts at 6pm, and we all know the craziness that brings.

One thing is for sure - you do NOT want to miss the 2018 Pro-Dyno MM&FF Battle at the Beach challenge. Like we mentioned before, we have a surprise guest you will not want to miss on Pro-Dyno’s portable Dynojet. Plus, along with all the other festivities scheduled to take place Wednesday September 5 at Myrtle Beach Speedway, you will hate yourself if you miss the action. So start the day with the Pro-Dyno MM&FF Battle at the Beach, and then take in the tire smoke the rest of the day. We hope to see you there.
