It’s no surprise that the Ford Mustang has been called one of the most customizable vehicles in the world. From the original first generation Mustang’s long list of factory and dealer add on bits to the current generation’s aftermarket support for performance, handling, and stylized personalization, the Mustang’s ability to be a car “designed by you” has never faded in over 50 years of production.

Ford’s refresh of the 2018 Mustang brings out even further customization abilities right at the fingertips of the owners. The all new available 12-inch LCD dash is brimming with custom colors, gauge layouts, and more that the owner can use to create their own one-of-a-kind look and feel. Of course there’s a slew of great exterior colors, trim packages, and nearly a dozen wheel choices too, further reinforcing the customizable abilities of the Mustang for 2018.

Today Ford is celebrating the new 2018 model and its vast customization abilities with a new social fan campaign through the Mustang’s Facebook page. Called Personalize Your Pony experience, you can create personalized Pony artwork for your Facebook page and even order your design as posters, on clothing, mugs, phone cases and decals. If you have an S550 Mustang you can even order a limited-edition (only 1,000 being available) grille Pony badge with your design on it! From March until June, some designs could even appear on billboards in major cities across the U.S. Design your Pony emblem using all of the 2018 exterior colors and a select few “heritage” colors too. Facebook users can find the experience by typing “Ford Mustang” in the Facebook search bar, or go to www.facebook.com/fordmustang.

“Driving a Mustang has always been about standing apart from the rest,” said Corey Holter, Ford car group marketing manager. “This is a chance for Mustang fans everywhere to make their very own personalized pony and share it where potentially millions can see it.”

Fans can create their designs using style packs and colors, with editing capabilities to further change color, density and blending available. Style packs include Mustang variants from Shelby, Roush, Bullitt, and RTR Vehicles. Both Ken Block and Vaughn Gittin, Jr. have created their own design packs for you to use, as well as noted YouTube video star ThatDudeinBlue (David Patterson). Each pack provides a set of color themes representative of its brand. If you’re not a Facebook user you can still head to https://mymustang.ford.com and start designing yours today!
