Expanding Power Applications from Optima Batteries #TENSEMA17
Optima Batteries Unveils a New Optima Yellowtop with DIN Fitment
We’ve all had an Optima battery under the hood of one, if not all, of our Mustangs. Whether it’s a Mustang for the street, or a Mustang for the track, or one bridging the gap between both, Optima is a go-to when it comes to getting our car started in the right direction. Now, Optima Yellowtop batteries will find more homes thanks to an expanded product line with a DIN fitment solution.
This new Optima Yellowtop was unveiled today at SEMA, and it will be available in the spring of 2018 in DIN group sizes H6 and H7, which does include Ford applications. Optima’s Yellowtop is ideal for energy-hungry demands and cranking power needed in DIN applications. With the new fitments, even more vehicles will be able to take advantage of Optima technology.
“For decades, OPTIMA Batteries has been producing innovative products enthusiasts rely on in a variety of vehicles and applications,” said Cam Douglass, director of marketing, OPTIMA Batteries, Johnson Controls. “The new DIN fitment features best-in-class reliability and performance that enthusiasts have come to expect from OPTIMA Batteries, and now more vehicles than ever can experience the Ultimate Power Source.”
Optima’s DIN-specific construction is designed to deliver, “robust power, extreme recharge, and unsurpassed performance,” the company says. Several years were spent developing this new Yellowtop, featuring Pureflow Technology, making sure it would live up to the Optima name. It survived off-roading at King of the Hammers, racing around the Nurburgring, and much more.
