Remember the Magic Mustang? Don’t feel bad if you don’t, since it was a full custom built in the 1970s by famed metal master Eddie Paul. It was the ’70s and the hot trick of the times was extra-wide and sharp-edged fender flares, Can-Am racer-style, and of course custom paint and striping, all of which made this Mustang stand out from the crowd even in the Days of Disco. The Magic Mustang graced the August 1979 issue of Hot Rod magazine and also the cover of a Hot Rod Engine Swapping one-shot publication (kind of like an annual). Eddie Paul died in 2016 but before he left us, he got a chance to restore the car to its 1979 glory. We’ll show you the full story next month.
