Yeah, just yesterday it was 2016, but it’s already February people, and the event season is upon us. We’re already one event in with last month’s National Parts Depot Ford and Mustang Roundup, but the events are going to be coming at us rapid-fire the next few months. Drag events, car shows, open track events, and the like, will be happening in full force very soon, and it’s hard to keep them all straight, but we’re here to help.

One such open track event you need to check out is the SVT Superfest at Virginia International Raceway (VIR) April 21-23. Hosted by the SVT Cobra Mustang Club, Track Club USA, the Shelby GT500 Club, and Modular Boss, you don’t have to own an SVT vehicle, but in order to participate on-track, you must be a member of one of the aforementioned clubs.

The SVT Superfest also hosts a car show for all year Mustangs. You can also partake in the parade laps if entered into the car show, as well, for an added fee. Trust us, even the parade laps are fun.

The SVT Superfest at VIR, located in Alton, Virginia, is a three day open track event with a car show, a Friday night social cookout, and a Saturday night banquet with a guest speaker. Other features of the event include on-site karting, skeet shooting, and Pro-Dyno will have its portable dyno at the event. An added benefit to attending SVT Superfest is that there will be a run group for the Forza Club Challenge Race, as well, which will feature current-day Ferraris battling it out on VIR’s 3.27-mile long course. With several viewing spots around the track, that will be a site to behold. Perhaps someone will bring a Ford GT to show the Ferraris the fast way around VIR.

SVT Superfest registration opened January 1, 2017, so reserve your spot now. The best way to get more info is to jump on Facebook, search SVT Superfest, and go from there. SVT Superfest is an event you don’t want to miss.
