We can sometimes be jaded about car show and cruise night schedules with our staff living in California and Florida. We don’t traditionally experience “winter” and rarely have to put our four-wheeled toys away for any full season of weather. Sure, it gets pretty hot in the summer, but we’ll take that if it means we can drive our Mustangs year round!

The folks up north don’t have it so well and usually have put their beloved Mustangs and Fords into a winter sleep by October, maybe November at the best if it is a mild winter. Their pride and joy sits there until spring and the roads are clear of rust-creating salt. Possibly the only benefit of putting their cars away is that many use this time for maintenance and upgrades that would normally keep them off the road during peak show season.

As part of the annual car show and open house ididit invites product partners and other industry related companies based in Michigan to show their latest products. Here, Eaton Detroit Spring and Classic Instruments are but two of the many companies within the display tent adjacent to the ididit building.

Knowing the fall weather up north can be tough to plan around for a show the folks at ididit have decided to push their show back a month to try and beat Old Man Winter. The ididit Car Show & Open House, traditionally held the first week in October at its Tecumseh, Michigan location, will be held Saturday, September 16th, 2017 in an effort to hold the show under better weather conditions. The past few years the show has weathered rain, snow, and cold temperatures during the October show date. The hot rods, street rods, muscle cars, sports cars, and trucks that line up for the highly-anticipated annual ididit Car Show & Open House never disappoint and moving the date will no doubt bring out high-quality vehicles and tons of enthusiasts. The 30-year old company’s car show is a favorite event for enthusiasts from throughout Michigan and the Great Lakes Region.

ididit awards seven winners via “ididit Pro’s Pick” awards from industry guest judges as the best in their class. Of course entrants are also eligible for door prizes a steering column giveaway, and more!

“The date for the 2017 car show may have changed,” Megan Lunsford from ididit said, “but we will continue to showcase the best custom cars from the region, as well as provide our neighbors a chance to tour our manufacturing facility and win great prizes. We are proud to be an integral part of the Tecumseh community and our annual car show and open house is a way for us to show our gratitude to the place we all call home.”

ididit’s 2017 Car Show & Open House is free for all, and will feature the car show, vendor exhibits, giveaways, and more. Registration for the 2017 ididit Car Show & Open House opens in May. Look to ididit’s website for more details and to register once registration does open.
