Ford Performance 2017 FP350S on Sale Today
For $114,990, you can have your own serialized Ford Performance race car
We brought you news of the 2017 Ford Performance FP350S serialized race car back in December when it was unveiled at PRI. Today we received news the cars are officially on sale. The FP350S is designed for Trans Am and SCCA competition, and only 50 will be built starting third quarter 2017. You can order yours through your local Ford dealer; just have your $114,990 ready, and ask for part number M-FP500-FP350S. Oh yeah, the FP350S is not street-legal, so don’t think you’ll be adding a street car to your stable.
However, with a Ford Performance-modified 5.2L engine under the hood, what the FP350S can do is beat up on the competition at the track. The engine benefits from a race-prepped oil pan and cooler to make sure the engine stays well fed during race conditions. Connected to the engine is a Tremec 3160 transmission with an integral oil pump and shifter, along with 3.73 gears out back.
To make sure the body and chassis is race-ready, all seams have been welded, and an FIA-legal six-point cage added for safety and rigidity. A Sparco racing seat and a removable steering wheel also are on the list of race-ready components. On the outside, the FP350S features a Ford Performance splitter along with an adjustable rear wing made from carbon fiber. To help calculate dollars per lap, and keep tabs on your mechanical investment, the FP350S features an on-board Motec data acquisition system.
Today is the day to place your order, and if we win the lottery, we’ll be right behind you.
