Design Factory’s Latest Art Print Feature’s Fox SSP Mustang
These Special Service Mustangs are rare finds now, but used to be a driver’s worst nightmare
Jim Gerdom’s Design Factory has been creating hand-drawn “old school” automotive artwork for decades. Over the years we’ve seen Jim’s work cross our desk and have poured over the pieces just taking in the amazing details. While Jim’s art tends to focus on classic Mustangs, he does just as killer a job on our favorite late-models as well, including several Fox-era art prints.
His latest is this sweet 1988 Mustang SSP California Highway Patrol art print. “This Mustang chases Porsches for a living was the headline that Ford used to introduce the Mustang SSP,” Jim explains and we remember vividly seeing SSP Highway Patrol Mustangs on the road in several states and they always put a lump in our throat when they pulled out into traffic behind us!
Jim created this artwork of a 1988 SSP, as used by the California Highway Patrol, as the newest offering in his line of Fox Mustang art. It is available as a signed and numbered print in two sizes and can be purchased on Jim’s website at www.designfactoryart.com. The 12x24 size, limited to a total of 1988 prints, is $40 each, and the 20x40 size, limited to only 200 prints, is $120 each. Shipping is free to any US Zip Code and just $10 to other countries. It can also be ordered by mail or phone.
