The technology that the modern data bus in our Mustangs is amazing. From engine performance data to tire pressure monitoring, and so much more. That data, well technically some of it, is used for the factory instrumentation and information screen you find between the main gauges on your Mustang (where you see cylinder head temp, inlet air temp, fuel economy details, and so forth). However, there is so much data on that bus that a lot of it is left “on the table” and can only be seen via an aftermarket device plugged into the OBDII port under the dash. This is usually left to dealers and service/performance shops that invest in expensive diagnostic tools. AutoMeter [], famous for its massive line of instrumentation, has designed DashLink, a plug-and-play virtual dash system for OBDII vehicles to display ALL of this data in any configuration you like, and best of all the units are now shipping AutoMeter tells us!

Simply plug the device into the OBDII port on your Mustang and download the DashLink app to your Android phone/tablet (iOS application coming soon for you Apple fans!). The device connects via Bluetooth, so there are no wires to run inside the car. The device is powered by the OBDII port directly. Using the app you get a fully customizable display and monitoring system that can read and clear trouble codes, provide engine performance data, track fuel economy for trips, and so much more.

Data log what your vehicle is doing, determine: 0-60, ¼ mile, horsepower, and braking performance. Map where you vehicle has been, how it performed, and how many G’s you experienced with real time track mapping. Monitor your fuel economy/MPG, see how long your vehicle has idled, how many aggressive accelerations or braking events have occurred, and how your vehicle was driven. Instantly read, diagnose and clear engine codes and clear troublesome Check Engine lights, all with the easy to use plug-n-play functionality of the DashLink system. The DashLink system comes with the OBDII module ready to work out of the box along with a quick start guide for operation and is available now for under $150!

The AutoMeter DashLink dongle easily plugs into your OBDII data port found under the dash. Plug it in, setup the Bluetooth connection and what parameters you wish to display.
The AutoMeter DashLink display is dependent upon the size of your display screen. The larger the screen the more data you can show. Instrument faces are configurable using digital versions of popular AutoMeter instruments like the Cobalt, Phantom, and others.

DashLink Offers:
-Performance gauges
-Fuel economy gauges
-Engine gauges
-DashCommand (contains a sophisticated trip computer that maintains stats for up to five trips)
