Scott Drake Debuts New Mustang Parts #TENSEMA16
New Mustang parts for classic and late-model
Arriving early to the SEMA show each day has its good and bad points. Good: Not very many people in the way to take photos. Bad: Sometimes the booths are all covered up and there’s nothing to take photos of! We stopped by to see our friends at Scott Drake two times during SEMA week and their booth was all closed up. The third time was the charm though as we finally caught the Scott Drake people at the perfect time.
Highlighting the Drake booth at the 2016 SEMA show was the restored 1969 Mustang 428 Cobra Jet race car of Hubert Platt, aka the Georgia Shaker. Platt raced this particular Mustang in NHRA Super Stock and set four NHRA records with it. The race car, owned by Gary and Mary Schwartz from Merrill, Wisconsin, was restored by Jacky Jones and the Scott Drake booth at the 2016 SEMA show was the Mustang's official debut.
